It has been one year since the Trump Administration’s announcement of their “zero-tolerance” policy, which separated thousands of parents and children at the southern border and led to the creation of a manufactured crisis. To honor the survivors of family separation, artist Paola Mendoza created a powerful installation that forces Americans to bear witness to the horrors the administration has committed in their name.

Today, we gather in front of the Capitol to honor the thousands of families whose lives were thrown into heartbreaking chaos because of this cruel policy and call on Congress to act.

We demand the Trump Administration reunify all families and stop tearing children from their parents.

TELL CONGRESS:

SUPPORT THE DIGNITY FOR DETAINED IMMIGRANTS ACT

The Trump Administration is trying to arrest and detain even more immigrants, including pregnant women and families seeking asylum in the United States. This bill would reduce the number of people being held in ICE custody and make sure that those in detention are treated with the respect and dignity they deserve.
